Library and Information Staffing
The Client: A privately held group of international investment management companies requested LAC Group’s assistance in providing staffing coverage in their Los Angeles information center.
The Issue: The organization had two employees scheduled to take maternity leave during the winter holiday season. It was critical that this replacement employee have familiarity with the financial industry, proficiency with particular research databases, and understanding of the fast paced culture of their professional services environment.
The Solution: LAC Group was able to find a suitable candidate in a timely fashion that could cross train with the soon to be absent employees thus making a seamless transition in the office workflow. The candidate has done such an outstanding job that her assignment has been extended.
Asset Management Staffing
The Client: A publicly traded, leading global foodservice retailer asked LAC to assist in the assignment of metadata and taxonomy for a large asset migration project in their Creative Services department
The Issue: The organization was seeking individuals with a background in metadata and taxonomy as well as a basic understanding of cataloging and indexing.
The Solution: LAC Group employed our large database of candidates who specialize in asset management, taxonomy, ontologies, and metadata to find individuals who lived in close proximity to the worksite and were available to work through the duration of the project. Metadata tagging is more intricate than just data entry and having individual with archiving, photography, cataloging, and asset management experience was a critical part of the search optimization features of the organization’s asset management system’s effectiveness.
